My dear Hazel has been going through the wringer lately. It’s been a tough month. She’s been in and out of clinics, enduring endless tests and scans. The doctors found a whole laundry list of issues—pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and cholangiohepatitis. Poor thing has been in the hospital for 20 long days now. Every time I thought I could bring her home, she’d take a turn for the worse. It’s been heartbreaking to see her in so much pain, barely eating, sometimes not even drinking. She’s been hiding away, barely moving, and throwing up. It’s like she’s wasting away before my eyes. She’s lost nearly half her weight in just 30 days. I’ve been by her side for three long years, and the fear of losing her now is overwhelming.
 
The doctors say the only chance she has is intensive care, as her condition is critical. Rushing her to a 24/7 clinic with ICU was our only option. So, I wasted no time getting her to the specialized clinic with round-the-clock care. They’ve got her on a feeding tube now, keeping a close eye on her day and night. Our only focus right now is getting her stable. At just 2.2 kg and with her immune system shot, her life hangs in the balance.
 
The financial strain is immense. The clinic costs alone are staggering $130 a day, not to mention the ongoing tests and treatments. I’ve already spent over $1500 since February, and the expenses keep piling up. I’m out of options, and I’m out of money.
