Two days ago, while walking home, I saw something that stopped me in my tracks. Near the edge of an alley was a tiny kitten, barely 5 or 6 months old. She was gray and white, her fur matted and dirty, and her eyes were swollen shut. She looked so small and helpless, trembling as if she had lost all hope. I knew I had a choice: I could walk away and try to forget, or I could step in and do something. I chose to help. How could I ignore her?
 
I’ve named her Nova. The vet confirmed her eyes are severely damaged, likely from an attack, and she’s battling bacterial and viral infections. She’s blind for now, but there’s hope. If we act quickly, she can undergo a delicate surgery that may restore her sight. If not, the procedure will at least stop her pain and ensure a healthier future.
 
I’ve already paid $500 from my own pocket to cover Nova’s initial treatment, but her surgery and follow-up care will cost $2,300, and that’s where I need your help. This amount will cover the surgery, medications, and the vet visits she’ll need during her recovery. If anything extra comes up, I’ll find a way to manage it, but this is the amount required to give Nova her best chance.
 
This isn’t the first time I’ve been in a situation like this. Many of you know me, and some might remember that I’ve saved two other cats in similar conditions before. I’ve also helped countless other animals in need. I know we can save her, too. Once she’s healthy, she’ll come home with me and finally have the safe, loving life she should have had all along.
